Message: I visited Franklin University [in the "Discovery District" of Columbus, Ohio] for my first time on 8-4-2023.. I have been in the "Discovery District" neighborhood of Columbus many times over the years but had never before visited the Franklin University campus.. I had learned [via Facebook, I believe] that the Ohio Ghana Festival would be held, 8-3-2023 to 8-7-2023, at several different locations in Columbus; I decided to briefly visit the "Franklin University" portion of that festival ["Symposium/Taste of Ghana"] on 8-4-2023.. It took me a while to find the Ohio Ghana Festival at Franklin University because the publicity for that event had not named the building where that event was being held. I want to mention here that all of the buildings on the Franklin University campus have the same street address.. I wandered around the Franklin University campus looking for a festival and eventually saw a guy who I had guessed is from Ghana and asked him where the Ohio Ghana Festival was located; he directed me to the correct building.. I entered that building and soon found a room full of people who had been listening to a panel dismission. I stayed there for half an hour or so but left because the room had been quite full and there had been no free seats.

Message: I have been a student at this University going on 2 years now after transferring from another school. This is an amazing University and definitely centered around supporting the working adults. Honestly I have never had an issues with any professors so far with 5 classes under my belt. Most classes are online with some on-campus if needed. My academic advisor has been very supportive and helpful. Overall I have had a great experience and I am excited to graduate hopefully fall of 2023. I highly recommend this school for anyone already in the workforce or have children and want to attend class in the evenings.

Message: Been trying to finish my degree here the past 2 years but have hit a speed bump. I am now 2500 in the hole because of incompetent staff and being few days late from withdrawing from classes I could not take due to lose of income and inadequate explanation of how financial aid works with the university. This has been a continuous issue and the fact that every time I go to talk about it, it is someone different every time.. Update to this is I received help but it was to late and took way to long for people to get back to me. I plan to continue with Franklin as they are a decent school. Faculty changes on a constant has proven aggravating.

Message: Even though it has now been 40 years since I graduated from Franklin University, I still smile at the memories of my time there and unequalled knowledge I gained from taking classes there. I've been gone from Ohio for more than 35 years, but kept track and watched Franklin grow into an even more world class school. A great deal of my business career from 1982 on would not have possible or anywhere near as successful without this university and give it the highest recommendation.

Message: I read through a lot of the negative reviews about Franklin and I am noticing one common theme: lack of accountability. Most of the reviews were blaming the school for doing what college requires you to do. No one said going to college was going to be a walk in the park. You have to EARN your degree and that requires putting in the work, the effort, and staying motivated. It’s up to YOU to take an exam at the testing center or obtain an appropriate proctor. They give you more than enough time to arrange that into your schedule. It’s also up to you to turn assignments in on time and coordinate your schedule to fit the deadlines. In the professional world, your boss isn’t going to extend your deadline because your kid got sick so why should your professor? Plan ahead and BE ACCOUNTABLE.. I am a Franklin Alumni and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. Franklin is a great option for someone who needs a little more flexibility than traditional “in-person” college. I highly recommend the programs they offer, the instructors, and the administration. My experience was awesome because I put in the effort. Please do not take the reviews from people being lazy as accuracy about this university.

Message: Like all educational institutions they have some good and some not so good instructors. I attended Ohio State first for a year, and I found Franklin's instructors were more helpful than Ohio State's. Others might have had a different outcome. Also, Franklin's instructors were less political.
